A Bit About Me
I am a devoted wife and mother. My husband, Cody, and I have two lovely children whom I have the pleasure of raising in our home. I'm a little glam and a little country. I've been mixing the two since I was five years old with a dress-up tiara and cowgirl boots. I love all things feminine and pretty, but I also love to work in the yard and build things with my hands. I love fresh flowers on the counter and antique finds on the shelves. I dream of having land and horses again someday and crafting a beautiful cottage farm with ducks and an overflowing garden full of veggies and flowers. I have loved photography since I was small, and I can still be found snapping pictures of flowers and little feet on warm spring days.

Despite my uncertainty, I always seemed to be drawn to the creative space, even getting partway through a liberal arts degree before getting married. I started Juniper & Ivy not just as a means to an end but as something to pour this passion for creating out of my soul and into others. When you choose to be my client, you don’t just get someone

I spent my teens and early twenties exploring various interests before I was matching tiny socks and helping build wooden block towers. This led me through many wonderful jobs, from managing a horse ranch to an office receptionist role to working at a third-wave coffee shop as a barista, and many things in between.
I explored just about every career path as I sought to make my mark in the world, gaining many skills along the way.
halfheartedly checking off a to-do list; you get someone with a passion for what they do and some of a mother’s coveted extra hours in her day.

The Story of Juniper & Ivy

Juniper & Ivy was inspired by my personal life story. I grew up in Central Oregon, with stunning lakes, rivers, mountains, and expansive high-desert landscapes filled with sagebrush and Western Juniper Trees. I can still remember the mingled smell of sagebrush crushed between my fingers and the scent of juniper floating in the air on a warm summer day while riding my horse. I remember the rare sight of lightning, the smell of rain on sun-baked pavement, and crystal blue skies over a deep blanket of fresh snow in winter. These little snapshots and all my cherished memories will stay with me forever. Oregon will always be where my heart calls home.

After having our first child, my husband and I decided to venture east to be closer to family, and the first thing I noticed was the English Ivy and Kudzu vines everywhere in East Tennessee. Along with this observation and slight terror about everything being covered in vines was my growing love for the beauty of the rolling hills and the lush green everywhere in summer, which is so opposite from where I came from.

Now, there are new memories of the most stunning sunrises I’ve ever seen, the cloying warmth and sticky sweetness of summertime. The frequent storms and rumbling of thunder in the summer evenings, the taste of winter snow that is always brief but delightful, and the sky reflected on water everywhere you look. Now, we have the most joyous family gatherings, and we get to make memories forever changed by this new path we took. We will happily call East Tennessee our home for a long time, maybe even forever.
Juniper & Ivy reflects both the start and the current place of my journey in life and so many more layers under that. It’s the old foundations and the new growth. It’s boldness coming from uncertainty. It is my passion come to life, and I am so honored to share this journey with you.
